I’m curious and always on the lookout for new perspectives. My journey as a designer has taken me across Germany, through Japan, and finally to Cologne. Each stop has broadened my view of the world.

In a small, moss-covered temple in Kyoto, a monk explained the concept of Zen to us. We constantly perceive six things at the same time: hearing, seeing, feeling, tasting, smelling, and thinking. Yet most of the time, we only trust our minds. Since then, I design with the understanding that good design requires more senses than just the intellect.

This mindset accompanied me throughout my master’s thesis. I spent two years working to show that we need to take young people seriously without judging them. Holding the finished book in my hands showed me how much it’s worth sticking with something, even when it gets tough.
